Goodbye 2006, Welcome 2007

I love year end because peoples are in holiday moods, children are having school holidays so parents are not busy with children school schedule, more public holidays, Christmas and New Year celebrations. And of course routine year end family tour. Love to see the world are looking forward to kick off a brand new start. I would like to say I have a fairly share of ups and downs in 2006. I'm happy to say that there are more ups than downs. 2006 is a busy years for me and hope I can strike a healthier lifestyle between work and family in this coming 2007. I believe 2007 will be a challenging and exciting year ahead for me. Well, I'll review my company and personal "SWOT" and make changes for better. Be positive, Be cheerful and Be Cool............

This year, I celebrated Christmas at my good friend's place..Wow the ham & Turkey were yummy!! and year end dinner with my company at Peach Garden at 33 level OCBC building. Dishes were yummy too! Going forward will go for Countdown and Countup celebration at my younger sister's place. More kilos to my weight too!!

I like to wish my parents, all my family members and friends a very happy prosperous new year :) good health, good luck and many happiness in 2007.

A memorable New Zealand Trip..ya..ya it look like a...

Well, woke up a 5am and cannot sleep again..partner snoring loudly..perhaps he was too tired!
He has been very busy with office works after the New Zealand trip. Ok..I will write briefly about our recent New Zealand trip. Total 10 of us. Parents, my elder sister with her teenage son and daughter, my family and one of our teenage nephew. I always feel that whenever I go holiday with family members, I always become the family tour guide. At times, it can be quite tired and cannot really enjoy ...hope soon any of my niece or nephew is mature enough to take over the role as " family tour guide". There were too many" IF" for our trip because of the "IF" therefore we have chances to experience more than expected. Let's treat it as "opportunity cost"

1) IF CTC did not cancel our original schedule, we'll not book the 28 Nov - 5 Dec 06 trip.
Bcos of the cancellation, we were given a free city tour in Sydney.
2) IF we did not go on 28 Nov 06 flight, we will not meet the bad weather.
3) IF we did not meet the bad weather, our flight will not detour from Sydney to Melbourne.
Give us the chance to go Melbourne.
4) IF we did not miss our connected Qantas flight in Sdyney to Christchurch. We will have no chance to take NZ Airline and they serve very nice food.
5) IF we did not miss our 1st day itinerary and swot some of the itinerary, we will have no chance to "meet" Mr Snow!!
6) IF everythings went smoothly...we will not be able to LOL..sure all of us still enjoyed the trip despite all the "unpleasant" things happened. I'm sure it was a memorable New Zealand Trip. Ya..ya..it look like a "man" a tall man..or a short man..This is what i often hear in the coach!! Miss Swan....

Choices & No Killing!!

Msg my friend, F to see how is she doing being a full time homemaker. F has decided to stay at home to look after her two kids, son in P3 and daughter in K2. I guess she has make the right decision as her son's school works is just moderate and need her attention. Guess, what's her reply. (Dear Jane, terrible alot of things 2 do and everyday do the same routine works. Dun know when will become robot..ha!! Usual case, when you work, you envy those housewives and when become one of them, you say sieh!! I think sooner or later, my dear friend will find she has make the right move especially when she see her son's grade improve!
Me too, hope to join the full time homemaker group and by then I will say yuppie instead of sieh. Choices !! Everyone make your own choice of life. Be Happy in whatever you choose.
--------------
Went seafood dinner with my family and nephew, yichun. Our last dish is Baked crabs! It tasted salty and all of us still prefer chilly crabs with bit of gravy except my hubby keep saying it tasted nice...and Yi chun said maybe baked crab is healthier..Then my maid, Hazel said NTUC supermarket do sell live craps but she never buy to cook because she does not know how to "kill" it. Oh isn't then next time you buy and I will do the "killing" part!! said my hubby, Kelvin. Killing..i quickly said Nooooo!! Pls do not buy live crabs back and kill it at my home..dun forget Karma! I told Hazel, those crabs will see your face and remember it upon you pointed to the seller that you want to buy them thereafter kill them and cook them!! My son, Yang Zhi was quick to say auntie what about cover your face with towel or plastic etc so that those crabs cannot see you then they cannot find their murderer lor!.ahaha.., we have a great laugh..LOL!!
It was a nice seafood dinner though it was pouring heavily!!

I rest my fingers on his lips. “Don’t say it. This is a love that I will never forget. There is always a time to let go, but the memories will always stay, tucked safely in my heart.” I smile and walk away. I cry because it’s over. I smile because it happened...

Merry-Go-Round Trip booking

Every year end , I will like to go for holidays ..sorts of retreat as well as to take a break after working hard for the past months. I think one should reward yourself if you think you deserve it. To me, I usually like to go tour with my family, parents, sibling and good friends. This year, we decided to go for a 11 days tour at North & South New Zealand with CTC holiday. My elder sister, LP, my mom and myself went to CTC to do the necessary booking. Total 10 of us and make a deposit of S$5000/-on 23 Sept 06. According to the tour consultant, Ms Adeline, our trip is confirmed since we have already reached the min 10 person to open a tour group. While everyone were happily looking forward to our tour schedule from 9 Dec to 19 Dec 06. Then around 2nd week of Nov 06, my sis received a call from CTC that our trip was not confirmed because they cannot get SQ Ticket. Wow lau! we thought everythings already confirmed and now.@*#@#*
so everyone starts to make hard & loud noise. We called CTC demanded for a valid explanation, we sound angry..impatient..blah..blah..WHY..WHY..?Ken Chew from CTC was asked to contact us and poor guy we vented our anger to him and I must say he is a nice and helpful guy. He agreed with us on our frustration, anger etc. Then, I realised maybe I should change my hard approach to soft. At least, they will try to help afterall it is not their fault and they are only pay fixed salary, no commission. So who bother to help huh? I thinks soft approach did help. Ken tried all his best to contact SQ and Qantas to get tickets and also try to subsitute with other destinations. So the Merry Go-Round trip booking started from 10 Dec 06 to 19 Dec 06 changed to 28 Nov to 05 Dec 06 for 8 days South NZ Island ..then later said oh..cannot again because the connected flight timing need to wait for 10 hours..then asked whether we like to go for 11 Days USA. fm 15 Dec to 24 Dec.06 but only left 5 seats. If all of us okay, he will try to get balance seats...so let him tried lor..but also cannot get. What about South Africa..CTC asked?? Ken then went to NZ as a tour leader and passed our case to his colleague, Julia, luckily she is another friendly and helpful person. Izn't I am the one who sound friendly first..mirror effects..So she tried again the 28 Nov to 05 Dec NZ trip and finally this time round..yuppie..okay only the return connected flight need to wait for 8 hours but CTC will provide us FOC Sidney city tour. Maybe also FOC lunch. waiting for her confirmation on Monday.. Good news please!! You know..even my sis, LP annual leave also have to go merry go round...but at least she managed to change and got appproved. Tks to her good colleagues. Unlike my bro-in-law..cannot change and he will be the houseman then... Well, let's enjoy our trip and thanks to Buddha!

Buddha Teaching - What are the effects of Karma?

Let's continue - Karma affects our future rebirths and influences what we experience during or lives: how others treat us, our wealth, social status etc. Karma also affects our personality and character: our talents, strong personality traits and habits. The kind of environment we are born into also influenced by Karma.

We are accordingly to what we have done.
We will be according to what we do..

Shall talk about about our recent trip booking..till then.
